2025 U.S. Amateur Four-Ball Championship Qualifier Medalists: Will McCurdy of Auburn, AL and Blake Watts of Fort Payne, AL 

HOOVER, AL – (September 5, 2024) Final results of the 2025 U.S. Amateur Four-Ball Championship Sectional Qualifying hosted at Hoover Country Club in Hoover, AL, September 5, 2024.

Two qualifying spots were available at this site. Two alternate positions were also available. 

The side of Will McCurdy of Auburn, AL and Blake Watts of Fort Payne, AL posted 12-under par 60 to earn medalist honors and punch their ticket to the 2025 U.S. Amateur Four-Ball Championship.

The side of Jake Nolen and Mason Seaborn of Birmingham, AL posted 11-under par 61 to claim the second qualifying position. 

After a playoff, the side of Brent Whitehead and Zach Capps of Atlanta, GA took the first alternate position and the side of Michael Hines of Woodstock, GA and Michael Toler of Roswell, GA earned the second Alternate Position. 

Two Qualifying sides advanced to the 2025 U.S. Amateur Four-Ball Championship at Plainfield Country Club, in Edison, N.J., May 17-21, 2025.

The 2025 U.S. Amateur Four-Ball Championship Sectional Qualifying is conducted by the Alabama Golf Association.

About the Alabama Golf Association (AGA)
The Alabama Golf Association is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit educational organization founded in 1915 whose mission is to serve and promote amateur golf in Alabama. AGA membership consists of 120 member clubs represented by over 28,000 individuals. The AGA manages the Junior Golf Alabama program that is a joint venture between the AGA and Alabama-NW Florida PGA Section.

In addition to competitions, the AGA administers the AGA Scholarship Fund through the Alabama Golf Foundation that is dedicated to assisting young golfers in higher education. Additionally, the Alabama Golf Foundation supports the Youth on Course Alabama program providing facility access to junior golfers and provides funding for the Alabama Turfgrass Research Foundation. In 2016, the AGA earned the Gold Tee Award for “Outstanding Tournament Operations – Small Association” by the International Association of Golf Administrators (IAGA).

Since 1980, the AGA has managed the affairs of the Southern Golf Association which includes conducting the historic Southern Amateur Championship and Southern Junior Championship, in conjunction with the SGA Board of Directors. AGA staff also administers day-to-day operations of the Elite Amateur Golf Series.
