The Alabama Golf Association (AGA) is committed to growing the game of golf in our state. To further grow awareness and raise money for Youth on Course Alabama, the AGA Staff will walk and play 100 holes of golf from sunup to sundown on Monday, November 1, 2021. Youth on Course Alabama opens the door for more than 2,000 golfers in Alabama, ages 6-18, to play rounds of golf for $5 or less at participating facilities. For participating facilities in Alabama, we recognize that the $5 fee may not adequately cover the expense of the round, so each course is subsidized at a negotiated rate for the remainder of the green fee. Launching Alabama's first and only golf-themed license plate, we're driving fore 1,000 pre-commitments. We have until October 31, 2022. If we can pre-sell 1,000 plates, then the Alabama Golf Foundation will be able to officially launch the plate, receiving over $40,000 annually to support our junior golf initiatives, including but not limited to Youth on Course and starting a male scholarship program to mirror the women’s scholarship program.

The 2025 AGA College Scholarships are valued at $24,000 over four years ($3,000 per semester and renewed on a fall and spring semester basis for eight consecutive semesters), given that all Scholarship requirements are maintained. This is not an athletic scholarship, rather it is an academic scholarship awarded to young men and women who are interested in golf. In addition to the Alabama Golf Association Women’s Scholarship, you might be interested in applying for another scholarship as well – that is offered by the Lady Legacy Scholarship Foundation (LLSF).
