About the AGA

The Alabama Golf Association is a nonprofit educational organization whose mission is to serve and promote amateur golf in Alabama. Founded in 1915, the AGA is proud to serve as the USGA's liaison for golf in Alabama. We are dedicated to serving over 117 member clubs and over 25,000 members.

Annual Report

The Southeast Mid-Amateur Four-Ball Championship format is 54 holes of Four-Ball stroke play, including Mid-Amateur and Senior Divisions. Hosted by Willow Point Golf & Country Club on the shores of Lake Martin, this annual event attracts top amateur players from across the country. Registration opens in late May.

Board of Directors

The AGA is governed by a Board of Directors elected at the annual meeting, at which time a president, vice president, secretary and treasurer are also elected. Associate Directors are, from time to time, appointed by the president.

Awards

The Alabama Golf Association presents two awards to honor outstanding playing, impact on the game and investment of time and energy in the AGA. Both the Joe H. King and Sadie Roberts Awards hold significant meaning, recognizing tremendous men and women whose dedication and efforts have made lasting contributions in giving back to the game.
