Anna Christian Beeker of Springville and Molly Brown Davidson of Tuscaloosa claimed victory at the 17th Women’s Four-Ball Championship with an overall score of 17-under par 127. The group finished the second round with a score of 11-under par 61.
Finishing eight strokes back were the duos of Evelyn Tankersley of Prattville and Julie Waldo of Montgomery and Gabriella Nicastro of Huntsville and Klare Jamison of Huntsville. Both teams finished with a total score of nine-under par 135. After a scorecard playoff, Tankersley and Waldo took home second and Nicastro and Jamison took home third.
For the 6th Alabama Women’s State Senior Four-Ball Championship, Lea Green of McCalla and Linda Jeffery of Prattville claimed their second consecutive Women’s Senior Four-Ball title with a total score of three-under par 141. The duo finished the second round with a score of two-under par 70.
Dina Murray of Chelsea and Pia Todora of Hoover finished second after carding a total score of one-over par 145.
After a scorecard playoff, Keri Rutledge of Birmingham and Theresa Mahlik of Madison posted a score of five-over par 149 for the week to claim the third place title. The duo finished with a three-over par 75 score for the final round.
Ann Lanier of Fairhope and Chris Spivey of Pell City took home gold in the Senior First Flight Division. Amanda Miller of Albertville and Lisa Jones of Guntersville took home silver.
Amy Lanz of Madison and Jana Hudson of Baileytown took home gold in the Senior Second Flight Division. Maria Goodman of Huntsville and Sandy Campbell of Huntsville took home second.
These Championships are conducted by the Alabama Golf Association.

The Alabama Golf Association is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit educational organization founded in 1915 whose mission is to serve and promote amateur golf in Alabama. AGA membership consists of 120 member clubs represented by over 28,000 individuals. The AGA manages the Junior Golf Alabama program that is a joint venture between the AGA and Alabama-NW Florida PGA Section.
In addition to competitions, the AGA administers the AGA Scholarship Fund through the Alabama Golf Foundation that is dedicated to assisting young golfers in higher education. Additionally, the Alabama Golf Foundation supports the Youth on Course Alabama program providing facility access to junior golfers and provides funding for the Alabama Turfgrass Research Foundation. In 2016, the AGA earned the Gold Tee Award for “Outstanding Tournament Operations – Small Association” by the International Association of Golf Administrators (IAGA).
Since 1980, the AGA has managed the affairs of the Southern Golf Association which includes conducting the historic Southern Amateur Championship and Southern Junior Championship, in conjunction with the SGA Board of Directors. AGA staff also administers day-to-day operations of the Elite Amateur Golf Series.
