FOLEY, AL – (June 6, 2024) Final results of the 2024 U.S. Girls’ Junior Amateur Championship Qualifying hosted at GlenLakes Golf Club (Dunes/Vistas) in Foley, Alabama, June 6, 2024.

Two qualifying spots were available at this site. Two alternate positions were also available. 

Twenty-two players competed to advance to the 75th U.S. Girls' Junior Amateur Championship.

Christine Chang of Auburn, Alabama finished four-under 68 to secure medalist honors and earn the first qualifying position.

Kendace Lee of Houston, Texas and Kate Ha of Auburn, Alabama each posted one-under 71. After a playoff, Ha earned the final qualifying spot and Lee named 1st Alternate.

Adalyn Pike of Athens, Alabama and Kayla Bryant of Boca Raton, Florida both posted even-par 72. After a playoff, Bryant earned the 2nd Alternate position.

Two players advanced to the 2024 U.S. Girls’ Junior Amateur Championship at El Caballero Country Club in Tarzana, Calif., July 15-20, 2024.

The 2024 U.S. Girls’ Junior Championship Qualifying is conducted by the Alabama Golf Association.

About the Alabama Golf Association (AGA)

The Alabama Golf Association is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit educational organization founded in 1915 whose mission is to serve and promote amateur golf in Alabama. AGA membership consists of 120 member clubs represented by over 28,000 individuals. In addition to competitions, the AGA administers the AGA Scholarship Fund through the Alabama Golf Foundation that is dedicated to assisting young golfers in higher education. Additionally, the Alabama Golf Foundation supports the Youth on Course Alabama program providing facility access to junior golfers and provides funding for the Alabama Turfgrass Research Foundation. In 2016, the AGA earned the Gold Tee Award for “Outstanding Tournament Operations – Small Association” by the International Association of Golf Administrators (IAGA).

Since 1980, the AGA has managed the affairs of the Southern Golf Association which includes conducting the historic Southern Amateur Championship and Southern Junior Championship, in conjunction with the SGA Board of Directors. AGA staff also administers day-to-day operations of the Elite Amateur Golf Series.
