Partial Round Two Results of the 27th Alabama State Senior Championship & Round Two Results of the 6th Alabama State Super-Senior Championship

ONEONTA, AL (May 18, 2024) – Partial round two results of the 27th Alabama State Senior Amateur Championship and round two results of the 6th Alabama State Super-Senior Amateur Championship held at Limestone Springs Golf Club in Oneonta, AL on Saturday, May 18, 2024.

Play was suspended due to severe weather at the 27th Alabama State Senior Amateur Championship at 3:01 p.m. resulting in a two-hour delay. 

Chris Hummel of Birmingham sits atop the leaderboard posting even-par for round two to stand 139 (five-under par). 

Shaw Pritchett of Montgomery stands one-stroke behind also posting even-par for round two and 140 (four-under) overall. 

Play was suspended at 7:36 p.m. due to nightfall, leaving nine players to finish round two tomorrow at 7:30 a.m.

David Hancock of Greenville maintained the lead of the 6th Alabama State Super-Senior Amatuer Championship with a two-under 70 for round-two. Hancock made five birdies during his round today and sits three strokes ahead of his competition, with an overall score of 137 (seven-under) after 36 holes. 

Dusty Ellison of Wilsonville stands second, carding a one-under for round two and four-under 140 overall. Ellison carded four birdies today. 

Emile Vaughan of Pike Road stands three strokes behind, carding a two-under 70 for round two and 141 (three-under) overall. 

The State Super-Senior cut line fell at ten-over 154 with 22 players advancing to the final round. 

Round Two of the 27th Alabama State Senior Amateur Championship will resume at 7:30 a.m. 

The 27th Alabama State Senior Amateur field will be cut to the low 38 and ties.

The final round of the 27th Alabama State Senior Amateur & 6th Alabama State Super-Senior Championships will begin at approximately 10:30 a.m. as a shotgun start.

Since 1980, the AGA has managed the affairs of the Southern Golf Association which includes conducting the historic Southern Amateur Championship and Southern Junior Championship, in conjunction with the SGA Board of Directors. AGA staff also administers day-to-day operations of the Elite Amateur Golf Series.
