Taylor Trible and Theresa Mahlik Victorious at 91st Alabama Women’s State Amateur and 5th Alabama Women’s State Senior Match Play Championships

JASPER, AL (July 13, 2023) – Final results of the 91st Alabama Women’s State Amateur Championship and 5th Alabama Women’s State Senior Match Play Championship of the Alabama Golf Association hosted by Musgrove Country Club in Jasper, Alabama on Thursday, July 13, 2023 .

91st Alabama Women’s State Amateur Championship Results

The Alabama Women’s State Amateur Championship began at 7:30 a.m. with Semifinals. Tori Waters of Mobile defeated Scarlett Schremmer of Birmingham 1 up. Taylor Trible of Birmingham won 1 up against Klare Jamison of Huntsville.

In the final match, Taylor Trible claimed the 91st Alabama Women’s State Amateur Championship title, winning 3 & 1 against Tori Waters of Mobile .

“I’m kind of speechless,” said Trible. “It was just crazy golf for the past two days, so I’m tired but it was fun. Adrenaline was pumping.”

In the Women’s State Amateur Championship Consolation Bracket, Jinger Heath of Decatur defeated Polly McCrackin of Bessemer 7 & 5.

5th Alabama Women’s State Senior Match Play Championship Results

Theresa Mahlik of Madison was named Champion of the 5th Alabama Women’s State Senior Match Play Championship. She won 3 & 2 against Lea Green of McCalla .

About the Alabama Golf Association (AGA)

The Alabama Golf Association is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit educational organization founded in 1915 whose mission is to serve and promote amateur golf in Alabama. AGA membership consists of over 120 member clubs represented by over 27,000 individuals.
