ALEXANDER CITY, AL (Aug. 26, 2022) – Round One results of the 4th Southeast Mid-Amateur Four-Ball Championship hosted by Willow Point Golf & Country Club in Alexander City, AL on Friday, Aug. 26, 2022 (Mid-Amateur Division: 7161 yards; Senior Division: 6709 yards; Par 36-36—72).

Defending champions Alan Coshatt of Birmingham, AL and Dalton Melnyk of Atlanta, GA, stand atop the leaderboard of the Mid-Amateur Division with a 10-under 62 in the opening round of the 4th Southeastern Mid-Amateur Four-Ball Championship.
Melnyk eagled hole #6; both Melnyk and Coshatt eagled hole #18 to finish the round, with seven total birdies to electrify the field. They hold a one-stroke lead.
M Tyler McKeever of Atlanta, GA and Steven Groover of Atlanta, GA stand T2 alongside Brent Whitehead and Kirk Whitehead of Atlanta, GA Each side posted a nine-under 63.
Leading the Senior Division, Shaw Pritchett and Jeff Taylor of Montgomery, AL fired a nine-under 63 to secure a five-shot lead. Their round included six birdies from Pritchett and three birdies from Taylor.
Brady Knight of Kennesaw, GA and Charley Knight of Newnan, GA finished Round One with a six-under 66 to stand third.
Chris Hughes and Tony Bili of Birmingham, AL posted a 67 for the round to finish third.
Round Two begins Saturday, Aug. 27th, 2022, at 7:30 a.m. off #1 and #10.
