GULF SHORES, AL (September 14, 2019) – First results of the 1st Alabama State Mixed Team Championship hosted by Kiva Dunes in Gulf Shores, AL on Saturday, September 14, 2019. (Par 36-36—72).
The Alabama State Mixed Team Championship is competed over 36 holes using two different scoring formats. Saturday’s round one format is four-ball stroke play and round two on Sunday is modified alternate shot stroke play.
In the Amateur Division, Cole Kamyati - Lauren Gilchrist of Spanish Fort and Reagan Waggoner of Bessemer – Victor Kyatt of Birmingham share the lead after each firing a four-under 68 playing four-ball format during round one at Kiva Dunes.
Chris and Kathy Hartwiger of Birmingham lead the Senior Division by two strokes after carding an even par 72.

About the Alabama Golf Association (AGA) The Alabama Golf Association is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit educational organization founded in 1915 whose mission is to serve and promote amateur golf in Alabama. AGA membership consists of over 130 member clubs represented by nearly 18,500 individuals.
