MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Final results from U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship Sectional Qualifying hosted by Montgomery Country Club in Montgomery, AL on Monday, August 19, 2019 (5794 yards, par 35-35—70, Course/Slope Rating: 73.4/131).
There were two championship spots and two alternate spots available at this site.
After dealing with an almost two hour weather delay, Lea Venable of Simpsonville, SC carded a nine-over par 79 to take medalist honors at Montgomery Country Club. The other qualifying spot was filled by Linda Jeffery of Abilene, TX with a ten-over par 80. Both players will play in the 33rd U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship at Forest Highlands Golf Club in Flagstaff, AZ from September 14-19.
Stacy Quilling of Birmingham, AL. posted an eleven-over par 81 to take the first alternate spot. Nancy Schlich of Auburn, AL will be a second alternate for the championship.

About the Alabama Golf Association (AGA) The Alabama Golf Association is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit educational organization founded in 1915 whose mission is to serve and promote amateur golf in Alabama. AGA membership consists of over 130 member clubs represented by nearly 18,500 individuals.
