Semifinals Set at 36th Alabama State Four-Ball Championship
TUSCALOOSA, AL – Round of 16 and Quarterfinal match play results of the 36th Alabama State Four-Ball Championship hosted by Indian Hills Country Club in Tuscaloosa, AL on Saturday, April 28, 2018 (6544 yards, par 35-36—71, 71.5/128).
Sixteen seeded, Sam Jeffcoat and Ben Fuller of Birmingham won two matches on Saturday with a 4 and 3 win over medalists and top seeded Phillip Weaver and Elliott Jones of Tuscaloosa in the morning Round of 16. Then followed it with a 2 and 1 victory over the 2011 champions, Forrest Crabtree of Mobile and Woodie Eubanks of Oneonta in the afternoon Quarterfinals.
Jeffcoat and Fuller will square off against Will Swift of Vestavia Hills and Clay Guerin of Hoover who won a decisively with a 6 and 4 victory in their Quarterfinal match against Jonathan Spann of Florence and Alan Allgood of Fairhope.
In other action, John Racciatti Jr of Fairhope and Steven Setterstrom Jr of Mobile will face Richard Schmidt and Sam Audia III of Birmingham in the second semifinal match. Racciatti and Setterstrom advanced with 3 and 2 decisions in both the round of 16 over Alan Coshatt and Austin Coggin, and quarterfinals against Stewart Whitt and Ben Moody. Schmidt and Audia needed all 18 holes to defeat Sam Murphy and John Snoddy in the round of 16, as well as Victor Kyatt and Andy McRae in the quarterfinals.
Semifinal matches begin at 7:30am at Indian Hills Country Club with the championship match slated for approximately 12:30pm.

About the Alabama Golf Association (AGA) The Alabama Golf Association is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit educational organization founded in 1915 whose mission is to serve and promote amateur golf in Alabama.
