One qualifying spot and two alternate positions were available at this qualifying site.
Claud Cooper of Birmingham, AL posted an 18-hole score of two-under 70 for medalist honors. George Walker of Mobile shot a one-under 71 to claim the first alternate position and Mike Greer of Birmingham, AL shot one-over 73 for the second alternate position.
Cooper advances to the U.S. Senior Amateur Championship that will be played at The Minikahda Club, Minneapolis, Minn on August 26-31, 2017.

About the Alabama Golf Association (AGA) The Alabama Golf Association is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit educational organization founded in 1915 whose mission is to serve and promote amateur golf in Alabama. AGA membership consists of over 130 member clubs represented by nearly 18,500 individuals.
