BIRMINGHAM, AL (July 24, 2017)- The Alabama Golf Association will conduct the 10th Alabama Women’s State Four-Ball Championship at GlenLakes Golf Club in Foley, AL from July 27-28, 2017. Championship will be conducted on the Vista-Dunes course.
The duo of Jordan Susce of Birmingham and Ally Williams of Athens won the title in 2016 at Burningtree Country Club in Decatur with a total score of 138 (-6). 2011 Champions Linda Jeffery of Prattville and Lea Green of McCalla will also be in the field this week to compete for the tournament division title.
31 teams are scheduled to compete in this year’s championship.
Championship Format
Championship is conducted at 36 holes of gross four-ball stroke play. There are three divisions: Championship, Tournament, and Senior. Tournament and Senior Divisions will be flighted after 18 holes based on score. An on-course hole by hole play-off will be used to break a tie for the championship.
Awards
Awards will be presented to the team low gross winner in each flight within the Tournament and Senior Divisions. In the Championship division, awards will be presented to the champions and runner up. In addition, the Champions will have their names engraved on the Jean H. Miller Trophy and may take possession of the trophy for the ensuing year.

About the Alabama Golf Association (AGA)
The Alabama Golf Association is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit educational organization founded in 1915 whose mission is to serve and promote amateur golf in Alabama.
