FOLEY, AL – Final results from U.S. Junior Amateur Championship Sectional Qualifying hosted by GlenLakes Golf Club in Foley, AL on Monday, June 27, 2016 (6865 yards, par 36-36—72, Course/Slope Rating: 73.2/132).
Two qualifying spots and two alternate positions were available at this qualifying site.
Jordan Plunkett of Sterrett, AL posted a 36-hole score of seven-under 137 for medalist honors. Galven Green from Malaysia posted a 139 to claim the second qualifying spot.
Jack Poole of Birmingham, AL shot 140 and is the first alternate, Brendan Winters of Spanish Fort, AL was second alternate at 141.
Plunkett and Green advance to the U.S. Junior Amateur Championship that will be played at The Honors Course in Ooltewah, TN on July 18-23, 2016.
